Vita con i cani
Per quanto mi riguarda fin dai miei ricordi più remoti, ho avuto cani intorno. Cosi sia per farvi partecipi di quello che ho scritto nella pagina: CHI SIAMO, sia per rendere omaggio a questi amici pelosi che hanno accompagnato le varie fasi della mia vita, ho deciso di pubblicare queste foto che sono la testimonianza migliore di quello che ho detto
Life with the dogs
As long as I can remember, I have always been surrounded by dogs. So, in order to share with you what I wrote in the page "Who we are", and to honour these hairy friends that followed me in the different period of my life, I decided to put on line these photos which are the best witness of what I said.
Une vie avec les chiens
En ce qui me concerne, j'ai eu toujours chiens dans ma vie. Ainsi pour vous faire participer de ce qui j'ait dit et aussi pour honorer ces amis poilus, j'ai décidé de faire paraitre ces photos.
Questa prima foto mi mostra a due anni con Pilù il primo cane in assoluto di cui abbia ricordo, anche perchè quando sono nata lui aveva poco più di un anno e quindi siamo cresciuti insieme, Qui ero nel giardino di nonna e come si vede correvo felice sotto l'occhio vigile di Pilù
This first photo shows me with Pilù the first dog I can remember, even because I was born when he was a little older than 1 year and so we grow up together. Here I was in my grandmother's garden and as you can see I was happily running under Pilù's eyes.
Ce-ci est Pilù mon prèmier chien, dans cette photo j'avais 2 ans et j'était dans le jardin de ma grande-mère.

Pilù ne fa parte, fedele al suo ruolo, mi è accanto, come ha fatto per tutta la sua vita e mi guarda con devozione, ricordo perfettamente che dopo la foto, iniziai a giocare in modo un po' troppo irruente per una bambina con un si bel vestitino e mio padre mi redargui' in modo un po' intenso diciamo, Pilù si mise davanti a me immobile muovendo impercettibilmente la punta della coda e fissando direttamente il buon papà esterefatto dalla dimostrazione di estremo difensore di Pilù.
This is the official picture of my 4° birthday and as you can see
Pilù was a part of it, faithful to his role he is at my side, as he was all his life long, and looks at me devoutly, I perfectly remember that after the picture I started to play with him in a very strong way, too strong for a child with such a nice dress, so my father scolded me, Pilù was before me still moving only the tip of his tail and looking at my father who was surprised by his reaction.

Une excursion à la campagne à l'age de 5 années toujours avec Pilù
Pilù mori a 15 anni e mezzo, io ne avevo 13 e mezzo e fu un dolore incredibile, poi un giorno nelle mie scorribande mi imbattei in questo cagnolino, che non era giovanissimo aveva già 12 anni, ma era bellissimo con un pelo stupendo, bianco e rosso non di razza ma dolcissimo. I suoi padroni non lo volevano più perchè avevano una casa e mobili nuovi e avevano paura che lui gli sporcasse i pavimenti e rovinasse i mobili, cosi me lo portai a casa con il beneplacito dei miei genitori che sapevano quanto avevo sofferto per la scomparsa di Pilù, Il cagnetto si chiamava Lester ed è stato mio compagno di pomeriggi di studio e scorribande in campagna fino al giorno che mi sono sposata...7 anni dopo! Lester è vissuto fino a 23 anni e sei mesi! Quando mori era già nata la mia prima figlia e lui mi venne a trovare nella mia casa in Calabria a ben 1250 km di distanza con un viaggio in treno di 13 ore al seguito di mia mamma che me lo portò per farmi contenta! Quando mi vide (aveva ormai quasi 21 anni) mi fece tante e tante feste che temetti gli sarebbe venuto un infarto. (In questa foto Lester aveva quasi 20 anni perchè è una foto dell'anno in cui mi sono sposata e lui era con noi già da sette anni e mezzo)
Pilù died when he was more than 15 years old, I was 13 and it was a terrible suffering, then one day during my excursions I met this small dog, who was not young, he was already 12 years, but he was very beautiful, red and white, a very sweet mongrel. His owners didn't want him anymore because they had a new house and new furniture and they were afraid he could dirty the floors and spoil the furniture, so I took him home with me with my parents'consent who knew how much I had suffered for Pilù's death. The dog's name was Lester and he was my companion during long study afternoons as well as wonderings in the countryside, until I married... 7 years after! Lester's life lasted 23 years and six months! When he died my first daughter was already born and he came to visit me in my house in Calabria, 1250 km far away after a journey by train which lasted 13 hours with my mother who took him to make me happy! When he saw me (he was already 21 years) he was so happy that I was afraid he could die for this. (In this picture Lester was already twenty years because it is a photo taken in the year I married and he had already been with us for 7 years)
Pilù est mort lorsque il avait 14 ans, pendant une de me promenade j'ai decouvert ce peit chien. Il n'etait plus jeune il avait déjà 12 ans, mais il etait très jolie! Son maitre ne lui voulait plus, ainsi j'ai porté ce petit chien appelé Lester, à ma maison avec moi. Il est mort à l'age de 23 ans et demi! Lorsque que je l'ai pris j'avait 13 ans, lorsqu'il est mort j'était déjà marié. Il a été avec nous 10 ans et demi! Dans ça photo il avait déjà 20ans environ
Questa è Zara una setter inglese tricolore che come ho detto nella pagina CHI SIAMO era uno dei 3 setter che avevamo in Toscana, una cagna dolcissima e coccolona che ci faceva molta compagnia nelle nostre escursioni in campagna, anche lei capitata per caso, perchè il proprietario gli voleva sparare perchè secondo lui non sapeva cacciare, cosa poi puntualmente smentita dai fatti: Zara è stata un'eccellente cane da ferma, un autentico divertimento starla a vedere pattugliare tra le sterpaglie alla ricerca dei selvatici e poi femarsi nella tipica posa dei Setter.
This is Zara a tricoloured English setter that, as I said in the page "Who we are" was one of the three setters we had in Toscana, a very sweet and lovely female that was a great company during our trips in the countryside, she came in our house simply by chance because her owner wanted to shoot her, because according to him she was not able to hunt, something which was later belied by facts: Zara was an excellent dog, it was really funny to see her patrolling looking for game and then stopping in the typical setter attitude.

Questa è Ginger, una cagnetta di 2 kg che è vissuta ben 18 anni, la mamma era una yorkshire purissima e campionessa italiana, che purtroppo (per i suoi padroni) ebbe una fuga d'amore durane il soggiorno in un agriturismo in Toscana, da quella fuga nacquero 3 cuccioli bellissimi, ma ahime incroci e quindi destinati ad essere soppressi, io li presi tutti e tre due li regalai a due mie amiche, e Ginger che era la più piccola, l'unica femmina e la più piagnucolona di tutti, la tenni per me. Piccola grande amica per molto tempo, con un feroce senso del possesso nei miei confronti, quando la tenevo in braccio credeva di essere un cane da difesa e nessuno poteva stringermi nemmeno la mano!
This is Ginger, a small female dog of 2 kg that lived 18 years, her mother was a pure-bred yorkshire and Italian Champion, that unfortunately (for her owners) had a love affair during a holiday in Toscana, from this affair 3 wonderful puppies were born, they were mongrels and so doomed to be suppressed, I took all of them, I gave two to some friends and kept Ginger which was the smallest and the only female. A great small friend for a long time, with a strong sense of possession toward me, when I held her in my arms she believed to be a defense dog and nobody could even shake my hand!
Celle-ci est Ginger, une petite batard, sa mère etait une yorkshire terrier championne italienne de bauté, mais elle a eu un liaison avec un petit chien, pendant une vacance dans un agritourisme, ainsi il sont nées 3 chiot très jolie mais pas de race. j'ai pris Ginger et elle a été ma petite amie pour 18 ans!
Elle pesait seulement 2 kg, mais elle pensait d'etre ma garde du corps!
Questa è Veronica a 10 anni con Melody la bassottina che la mia amica che aveva la cucciolata pensava sarebbe morta perchè era molto più piccola e patita rispetto ai fratelli: è vissuta fino a 14 anni!
This is Veronica at ten years of age with Melody, the small dachsund, my friend who had breed her thought she would die because she was much smaller than her brothers: but she lived until the age of 14 years!
La teckel Melody avec ma fille Veronique qui avait 10 ans, Melody a été le cadeau de une de mes amies qui avait une portée de teckels.
Questo é il blasonato campione americano della signora che allevava anche shar-pei e che me lo lasciò per un po' quando dovette tornare precipitosamente in Texas, Calimero è il nome famigliare di questo campione AKC, diventò inseparabile amico di Melody che intraprese lo sciopero della fame, quando lo restituii alla sua proprietaria.
This is the important American Champion belonging to the lady who bred shar-peis too and that left it to me for a period when she had to rush back to Texas, Calimero is the familiar name of this dog which became a close friend of Melody, she started a hunger strike when I gave him back to his owner.
Celui-ci est le carlin champion americain de une des mes amies, elle est allée aux Etats Unis car elle avait des problèms, j'ai gardé Calimero (le nom familial de ce champion) pour 2 mois environ, avec Carlimero j'ai decouvert le carlin comme race.
